day two hundred twenty-six.

the dorms are moving in today, so i am maintaining my distance from green st. and campus until much later.

but i did get a nice walk in yesterday afternoon, updating myself on current construction projects and the status of sorority recruitment (i didn't miss it guys, DON'T WORRY).

(sorry jj)

day two hundred three.

this is what the ladies room looks like when you work in transportation

and this is what is slid under your door when some interns have too much time/don't understand how to deal with problems:

golly, i just feel so oppressed living in this fancy new building, with free shuttles to the grocery store and metro, and a washer/dryer INSIDE the apartment, but i'm so afraid to "rock the boat" while i live here temporarily and there is nothing to punish me with.

i understand a certain amount of frustration if things aren't working in one's apartment, but there are better ways to go about this.
the only thing being overpaid for are these photocopies.

day one hundred fifty-three.

after intern orientation and buying a transit pass (from which i learned that you can be arrested for eating or drinking liquids on the metro), i did some exploring on the mall.

botanical gardens

my fellow intern and i were taking pictures outside and a lady asked us why we were so dressed up (tourists don't wear suits).

they get them from the hammock district (that's on 3rd)

next stop: swordsville

(national museum of the american indian)

at this point, i was too tired to be educated any further, and walked home (weather = unbelievably nice for today only. like, assemble a picnic in the park with no humidity nice).
the real work starts tomorrow. business socks, laid out.
