day one hundred thirteen.
I suppose
it is time to examine my conscience,
to make a clean breast of it and amends
to such as those I might have offended.
Attende Domine et miserere! Lord
I’ve sinned with my eye and did not pluck it out,
and with my hand and yet my hand remains
blessing myself against Your righteousness.
I’ve sinned with my mouth and loved the sound it made.

day one hundred two.
i woke up at 8:00 today to wait for fedex and decided not to go back to sleep.
i spent 2 hours reading my urban lit book for class:
it is not my favorite thing. i should have gone with something less romancey. i wonder if the author or other modern romance writers ever read the dialogue to themselves aloud and think that this is the way people really converse. or have sex. or if they expect their readers to. i get that it's supposed to be a fantasy of what love and romance is, but it ends up just making me laugh and/or sneeze, because sometimes i sneeze when i am bored.
then i spent about 2 hours cleaning, shelving my books, and putting my shoes in rows by the door (except for my snow boots, which i finally banished to the closet so that i don't have to think about how it will snow again eventually maybe).
i'm seeing the antlers tonight:
a nap may be in order.

day one hundred.
this is a book from 1951 featuring real animals. i can only imagine it was made to frighten children into not asking their parents for a pet.
(click any image for a bit of a closer view, because that is something you might want to do if sight is not your favorite thing)
this is precisely what i look like when i get to class.

day ninety-nine.
working on a cataloging project i put off for about a month and is now due.
i'm pretty sure 90% of it is going to be screenshots accompanied by the words "providing access to" and "ramble ramble something about AACR2 and oh, here's another screenshot."
good to know that i haven't developed any better habits in my aged state.
i saved a few weirdo things for my 100th post tomorrow.
which means that if you are reading this, you are invited to the weirdo party.

day ninety-eight.
today was a good day because i only had to run my towels through the dryer once, saving $1.00 for the first time ever.
but then i did a cold wash load and left a kleenex in my pants pocket.
laundry is just a roller-coaster that way.
