day two hundred one.

today is friend katrine's birthday, for which i will be brewing up some garlic with a side of bread.
the heat index was 98 degrees last night at 10:00 pm and my metro car was unventilated. an old woman walked in and quickly out, saying, "man, its like some dante's seventh circle shit in there."

day one hundred eighty-four.

today is my half birthday, coinciding with the halfway point of my internship.
i suppose now would be a good time for self-indulgence masked as self-examination, or reflection on the benefits of acquired wisdom.
1/2 of the year, 1/2 of the summer :
i am just tired.

day sixty-seven.

happy pi day!
since i was already in the area, i also got to attend my niece and nephew's birthday party today.
the decorations were a mix of hot wheels and butterflies.
i ate a mountain of baba ghanoush, then headed to catch my bus back to school. on the ride back, i did that thing where i almost fall asleep sitting upright and have to stop myself from drooling on my coat.

day one.

homemade birthday - vegan chocolate cake with chocolate glaze.
the butterfly sprinkles were mostly for the benefit of my niece and nephew- aged nearly 2 and nearly 5.
i have officially outgrown the single box of candles.
